The Brighton and Hove branch of WILPF meets monthly, meetings often have interesting guest speakers and we hold discussions and planning sessions. We also organise public events with events with like-minded local groups on topics like Hiroshima Day.
Recently members of the branch joined the ‘Flame of Hope’ walk to raise awareness of the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty 2010 Conference. The branch joins with others in demonstrations in response to world events, have held ‘Women in Black’ vigils and spent time at Aldermaston and previously Greenham Common.
The branch actively lobbies local decision makers and our MP’s to try and encourage them to work towards WILPFs aims.
